Obituary of Frances A. Serio

SERIO, Frances Ann (nee Walsh) Age 75 of Silver Creek, NY Passed away in her home April 11, 2025. Fran was born in Texas to John “Jack” and Margaret Walsh on March 29, 1950. She attended high school at Lake Shore Central School in Angola, NY . Fran was a successful entrepreneur having a cake and accessory business for many years and was an executive for Kayak Pools as well as a Loan Officer and Branch Manager for various financial institutions. She enjoyed Ladies Home Bureau, was a former leader for Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts and was a Scouting Coordinator with the Allegany Highlands Council. She and Sam enjoyed many camping trips along with vacations to Walt Disney World. Fran was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and never missed watching a game and cheering for her team. Fran’s greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, she attended all their sporting events, no matter how far away they were. Fran is survived by her husband of 57 years, Salvatore “Sam” Serio, her children; James (Sandy) Serio, Wendy Newton and Michael (Jennifer) Serio, grandchildren; Heather (Michael) Serio-Barone, Nathan Serio and Alexis Serio. She is pre deceased by her parents as well as her in-laws, Edward and Mary Forster of Angola. Family will be present to receive friends Tuesday, April 15, 2025 from 5 to 8 PM at the Addison Funeral Home Inc. 262 N. Main Street, Angola, NY where prayers will be said Wednesday, April 16, at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Most Precious Blood Church, 22 Prospect St. Angola, NY. Interment services will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Angola. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of WNY, 4444 Bryant & Stratton Way, Williamsville, NY 14221
