Cynthia ‘Sunny’ Provenzo, 87, passed away surrounded by her family in Rochester, NY, joining her husband Carmen in eternal rest.

Predeceased by her parents, James and Lillian Donnellan, and two older sisters. Survived by her brother, Richard, her children: Craig (Sandy), Carla (Ian Bradley), and Curt (Amy). Grandchildren Brianna (Mike) Kustigian, Jocelyn (Tufan) Bayram, Joshua, Claire, Jackson, and Michael. Great-grandchildren Liam & Henry. Aunt Sunny was beloved by her many nieces and nephews.

A dedicated servant of the community for decades, Sunny loved her work and striving for excellence. Over a 40-year career she served several roles, including Deputy Clerk-Treasurer, Trustee, and Village Clerk for the village of Angola; several officer roles including President of the Erie County Village Administrative Officers Association; and award- winning Comptroller of the Town of Evans. She developed and appreciated lifelong friendships with her coworkers and colleagues.

Sunny enjoyed bowling, bocce, listening and dancing to all types of music, dice and card games, spending time with friends and family, and always willing and often hosting holidays gatherings for her and Carmen’s extended families. She served her family, church and community with steadfast love and diligence. She will be greatly missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Most Precious Blood Church, Angola, NY, Saturday, August 9 at 10:00 a.m. Luncheon to follow at Pegasus Restaurant, South Park Ave., Hamburg, NY.
