Ellis, Joyce B. (nee Bobseine) Feb. 24, 1933 – Jan. 14, 2024 Of Brant, NY Entered into rest January 14, 2024, age 90. Wife of the late Anthony J. Ellis; loving mother of Rebecca Crosby, J. Scott (Bonnie) Ellis, Anthony F. Ellis, Kathleen (John) Nerger and Gina (Jeff) Truby; doting grandmother to 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and aunt and cousin to her large extended family. She was preceded in death by brothers Oliver, Gordon, Chub and Lorne and their wives. Born in Collins Center, NY, she was a long-time resident of Brant and participated in many civic activities. She was blessed with the many wonderful friends she made during her 40 years of service at Lake Shore Central Schools. She was active in the NY State Association of Educational Office Professionals and voted Secretary of the Year in 1989. When not working, her greatest joys were family reunions, road trips, concert and theater performances, dining out, cheering on the Bills, and “Pig of the Year” parties. Family will be present to receive friends Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 4-8 PM at the Addison Funeral Home Inc. 262 N. Main Street, Angola, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, January 26, at 10 AM in Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 2017 Halley Road, North Collins, NY 14111. Memorials can be sent to Holy Spirit Catholic Church or the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra (bpo.org).
