John A. Esty
October 23, 2016 of Lake View, NY, Son of the late Rosemary and Harold Esty; Great grandson of John D. Larkin, founder of the Larkin Co.; survived by three sisters; Stosie (James) Sanderson, Elizabeth (William) Franklin and Patricia (Thomas) Symons; also survived by nieces and nephews. A patron of the arts, supporting many organizations, John had an extensive knowledge of classical music, classic films and jazz. He was an accomplished jazz drummer, playing with many jazz ensembles. A private service is planned. Flowers gratefully declined, memorials may be made to the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, 499 Franklin Street. Buffalo, NY 14202
