Gary L. Clear of Farnham, NY died suddenly, Monday June 28, 2010 in Lake Shore Hospital, he was 62. Beloved husband of Doris "WEEGIE"(nee Hill) Clear; loving father of James(Lynn) Clear, Kelly Olsen (Nate Golden), Gary (Arica) Clear and the late Donald W. Clear;Son of the late Charles(Margaret) Clear; brother of Mary McClive, Dave, Ron Clear and the late Dean, Bill, Joyce and Charles; cherished grandfather of Jessica,Brandi Olsen, Jimmy, Catie, Savanah and Lucas Clear. Friends may call Wednesday from 6-8PM and Thursday from 1-3PM and 6-8PM at the ADDISON FUNERAL HOME, INC. 262 N. Main St. Angola, NY 14006 where funeral services will be held Friday at 10AM.
Gary was the Manager, of the, Angola Service Area, on the New York State Thruway, where he was employed for over 44 years. He was a past member of the Brant Volunteer Fire Dept. serving as Captain from 1971-1972 and Treasurer from 1971-1982. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, cutting the grass on his "NEW" mower, going to garage sales, gardening, woodworking and working on cars, where had a special interest in Corvettes.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Farnham VFD Rescue Squad. Interment will be in the Brant Cemetery, Brant, New York.
