John was such a wonderful man. I was lucky enough to play in Sunset Bluegrass Band with him when I was a teenager and I learned so much from him during that time. He was a sweet, gentle presence and a very talented musician. He was always very kind to me, which I will never forget. My condolences to his family and friends.
