Helen Mayer was the most kind and generous person in my life as a little girl. She showed me what compassion and acceptance means in a world that judges people most of the time. She was also a person that looked for improvement but also stayed with her beliefs. I remember when she put the POOL in her yard and she wanted it for herself as much as she knew it was a blast for her kids (and the popular crowd). She was a woman that did the dishes herself but she recuited anyone that was in the kitchen for help. I always volunteer to do the dishes at any family gathering :) This woman did not care if we used her living room to play house or turn the upstairs bedrooms into a virtual city! I wish that I could give her a tremdous hug for giving me the tools that I needed in life. To you I will always be grateful. Have a great life in heaven. They need you up there because you are an angel. My love to you always, Pam

We had just arrived in Florida when we got the sad news of your mom's passing. I can only say that your Mom was absolutely one of the finest persons I have ever known. Your Mom and Dad were such great influences in my life and also in the lives of my brothers and sister. We are all so lucky to have spent time with her during the most formative years of our youth. I have been looking at your family photo on line and trying to put names to faces. I think I got it right. It's been too many years since we have been together. I sure loved your mom and dad. I'm sure that I tested their patience when I showed up at your house early EVERY morning to drag Jim out to play. I hope you are all doing well during this time of deep sorrow.
