Obituary of George Feltz Jr.

George Wm. Feltz Jr. of Angola, NY, went to be with the Lord, Friday November 5, 2010. He was 85. He had been battling Cancer,pneumonia and other afflictions, and had been hospitalized at Lake Shore Hospital, where he recieved loving care and his family was with him every day. Beloved husband of 65 years to Carol(Harris) Feltz. They were married on September 23, 1945 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Buffalo, NY. George was the father of Ross(Marie)Feltz,Charmayne(David)Zieziula,Faith(Allen)Marburger and Maxine(Rev. Donald)Loos; Grandfather of JoLayne(Feltz)Green,Noel Zieziula)Anderson,(Late Jess Feltz),Nathan Zieziula,Naomi(Zieziula)Feltz,Nicholas Zieziula,Benjamin Loos,Bryana(Loos)Haas and Bartholomew Loos;great grandfather of Justin,Braden,and Lydia Green,Micah,Abigail,Joanna,Luke(late Sarah Anderson),Alayna Zieziula,Levi and the late Noah Haas,and Josiah Loos. Son of George W.(Bertha)Feltz Sr; brother of Allen Feltz,the late Clarence,late Edwin and the late Marie(Feltz) Monk. George was a Loyal servant having worked for the Erie RailRoad,National Gypsum,the State Correctional Institute at Collins and others. A baptized and confirmed christian, he faithfully served the former St. Paul's Lutheran Church on Scoville Ave. in Buffalo, St. John's Lutheran Church in Angola,Camp Pioneer in Angola, the Lutheran Layman's League and other charitable orginizations. He was a former president of the Buffalo Traffic Club, an avid golfer at Grandview Golf Course, where he had a hole-in-one. He was a WWII Army Veteran. He and Carol met as teenagers living on Baitz Ave. in Buffalo. He told Carol,"I don't want to set the world on fire, I just want to start a flame in your heart." He will always be a flame in Our Hearts. Visitation will take place on Sunday from 2PM-4PM at St. John's Lutheran Church, Gold St. Angola, where funeral services will follow visitation at 4PM.
