Obituary of Louis E. Small

Louis E. Small April 8, 2021 On April 8, 2021, Louis E. Small, 88, of Cain Road, Angola, NY, passed away peacefully at the home he built. He was born on Cain Rd; the son of Louis A.Small and Leola E.Smith. Mr. Small helped run the Small farm. He was employed at the Ford Stamping Plant in Buffalo, NY, from a teenager to his retirement, including two years Army service during the Korean War. Louis was the proprietor of Small’s Greenhouse for many years after retiring from Ford. Louis was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed playing cards, being with family, the outdoors, camping, hunting, fishing, walks at the park, reading, and the company of his pets. He was a good and creative storyteller, gardener, self-taught builder, as well as a Christian, church attender and member of the Moose club and UAW Union. Louis was predeceased by three lovely wives: Marie (Totaro), Wilma (Wagner), and Ann (Maltby). Brother of the late Arlene Burnette, Elizabeth Vara, Sylvia Julian, Gerald and Milford Small. Louis is survived by three daughters: Cynthia, Judith (Scott), Carol, and three sons: adopted son Clifford (Colleen), Louis W, Eric (Jennifer), and Anns’ adult children Marjorie (John) Page, Duane (Susan) McCauley and their families. He is survived by his beloved grandchildren : Nicholas DeCarlo, Felisha Taylor Loeffler, Kristen DeCarlo Mindel, Lindsey Taylor Mueller, Savannah Taylor James, Jeanna Shalkowski Spencer, Kerry DeCarlo Gabrielli, Michael DeCarlo, Grayson Taylor, Elana Shalkowski Rankin, Marni Taylor, Tony Williams, Clifford Jr. Small, Lacreshia Gagliardi, Jennifer Page, Brandon McCauley, Daniel McCauley, Ashlee McCauley and great-grandchildren: Emmerson and Merritt Loeffler, Amelia Brown, Joshua Spencer, Carter Gabrielli, Nico DeCarlo, Natty Williams, Keegan, Landon and Rory Small and Erica Gagliardi. He is greatly missed by his family and friends. Friends may call Monday APRIL 26, 2021 from 1-3PM and 6-8PM at the ADDISON FUNERAL HOME, INC. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday APRIL 27, 2021 at 11 AM in the First Church of Evans, Derby, NY.
