When I reflect on a phrase that sums up Laurie's life, Love Story is what comes to mind. She demonstrated such love and strength all to be with her family each and every day. This should be a lesson to us all, to hold our families close and love them with every fiber of our being while we can. Laurie, I know you will be keeping a close watch on your family. I have so many wonderful memories of our times together. You were a mentor, a cousin, a sister, a cheerleader and a friend. Karlie and Jon, your mother was an amazing women who loved you so deeply that we could all feel it. Bret, you were such a rock for Laurie and your kids.
