So sad to hear the news of Sharon's passing.. She was so kind and forgiving,, and a ray of sunshine whenever she would enter a room for a get together. I knew Sharon when she lived at the West Seneca Developmental in West Seneca, New York. I was an intern at the center and assigned to her unit. No matter how Sharon was feeling or what handicap she was born with, she never ever complained or asked for sympathy. She never stopped smiling and was always eager to lift up the moods of other residents that she lived with. The greatest gift she got was when she was adopted by a woman who volunteered at the center who would often take her to her home to live a "normal" life. I then would visit Sharon at her new mom's home
which Sharon loved. This woman's own children (2 daughters) welcomed Sharon into their lives as well! Sharon then had herself a real family which she adored!! They never forgot about Sharon on her Birthday, and everyone else's Birthday as well as Easter, Christmas and summer time events! Sharon was so loved by this family and LOVED every minute of their out pouring of REAL LOVE. Rest in Peace sweet Sharon. You are amongst all the angels who are now smiling brighter!❤
