Seefeldt, Donald W. “Willie” Formerly of N. Collins and Medina, NY, a proud WWII Normandy Veteran, passed away, June 1, 2023. Don married in France, returned home and had 3 children and would marry 3 more times with a total of 10 children and a stepdaughter. He was the father of Diane LaSpada, Deborah Holser, Dawn (Gordon) Edwards, Penny (Steven) Favale, Tina (BR) Latimore, Cheryl (Rob) Rychlik, Christopher Seefeldt stepfather of Karen Duerr, and the late William “Jay” Seefeldt, Jacqueline Williams and Tammy Jean Seefeldt. Brother of Nancy Pena. Also survived by many grand, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. During his military service, he earned the rank of corporal in the US Army, served in the 4th Infantry Division and participated in the Allied Forces D-day Invasion of Normandy. Mr. Seefeldt was awarded WWII Victory Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign, the Bronze Star, Army Good Conduct, Army of Occupation, Jubilee of Liberty, NY Conspicuous Service, Combat Inf. Badge and the French Legion Medal of Honor. Don was a charter member of the Eden VFW Post 8265, a Lifetime member of Newell – Faulkner American Legion Post 880, Lake Shore Fire Company Sportsman's Club and participated in the “Teach me to Fish” Program. He retired from AGWAY after 35 Years of service Friends may call Tuesday from 9:30 AM- 10AM at the ADDISON FUNERAL HOME, INC. 262 N. Main St. Angola, NY where services will be held at 10AM.
