Joseph Leo Kenney
August 13, 1933 – December 1, 2023
Resident of Derby, NY and Fort Erie, Ontario, passed peacefully December 1, 2023 with family present. Preceded in death by his parents Charles and Regina; Brother, Charles; Son, James and former wife Leona. Survived by partner, Sharon Mortin; children, Lauren, Philip, Russell, Brian, Nicole, Kara; sister, Mary Anne and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joe was an avid drag racer and classic car collector. He was a competitive driver at Empire, Niagara, Cayuga and Lancaster drag ways from his younger years until his retirement. His car collection ranged from the 1930’s through the 1970’s. Joe was also a fan and supporter of both the Buffalo Sabres and Bills. He worked as a millwright for 40 years at General Mills in Buffalo and served in the US Army during the Korean War era. Joe is loved and missed by his family. Family will be present to receive friends Thursday, December 7, 2023 from 3 – 7 Pm at the ADDISON FUNERAL HOME INC. 262 Main Street, Angola, NY. Flowers gratefully declined.
