Janet Ann Cuevas, (née Kennedy)


known affectionately as Jan, passed away on August 10, 2024, at the age of 66 in Angola, New York. Born on August 25, 1957, in Buffalo, NY, she was the loved daughter of Priscilla Kennedy and the late William Kennedy.


Janet lived a life marked by simplicity and kindness, always keeping her loved ones close to her heart. She found so much joy in sunsets on the beach and the wildlife around her Angola home. Her artistic spirit was expressed through painting, drawing, playing guitar, and singing. A cancer survivor, Janet's resilience and never-give-up attitude were an inspiration to all who knew her.


She is survived by her mother, Priscilla Kennedy; siblings, Patricia Kennedy and Ronnie Maxwell; daughters, Desiree Fairchild, Merisa Cuevas, and Jennifer Turton; and her beloved grandchildren; Garrie, Kyler, Christopher, Andrew, Kaeleigh, Devin, and Maxton. She was preceded in death by her father, William Kennedy, and brother, Bill Kennedy.


Family and friends are invited to attend services at graveside, Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 11 AM in the Forest Avenue Cemetery, Village of Angola, NY. Her love for life and the beauty in the world will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Arrangements by ADDISON FUNERAL HOME INC.
