Donald DeWitt Heimburg
Of Anderson, SC and long time resident of Angola, NY entered into rest Monday, May 9, 2011 at the age of 90 in AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born November 9, 1920, In Angola, NY Mr. Heimburg served in the United States Army-Air Corp and was a retired Funeral Director having co-owned the Heimburg Funeral Home in Angola. Following his retirement he and wife Evelyn Carlson Heimburg relocated to Anderson, SC in 1995. He was an avid tennis player, walker and golfer
Survivors include his son James D. Heimburg of West Seneca, daughter in law Laura Lehning Heimburg of Hamburg, daughter Patricia (Leonard) Coffey of Anderson, SC and three granddaughters Jamie (Ross) Molinaro of Decatur, GA, Kelly (Ricardo)Sureda of Chardon, OH and Sara Coffey of St. Andrews, Scottland.
In addition to his parents He is pre deceased by his wife Evelyn, Sister Betty H. Volker and brother, Gene P. Heimburg.
Memorial and interment services will be held in Angola at a future date to be announced.
Memorials in Mr. Heimburg's memory may be made to the Newcomb Long American Legion Post 928, Derby, NY.
