Obituary of Dorothy Brinkman

Dorothy L. Brinkman, of Farnham, NY, passed away Sunday April, 1, 2012 in the ElderWood Health Care Facility at Lakewood, Hamburg, NY, she was 90. Beloved wife of the late Fred W. Brinkman. Loving mother of the late Frederick Boyd Brinkman. Daughter of the late Edward M. and Myrtle (Rosenhahn) Brinkman. Sister of the late Virginia J. Massing; Aunt of Bruce and Eric Niedell, Melanie Galineau and Kathy Otteley - Chambers. Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the ADDISON FUNERAL HOME, INC. 262 N. Main St. Angola, NY. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10AM in Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Farnham, NY. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Dorothy was a graduate Masten Park High School. She and her husband were co owners of the Fred Brinkman insurance agency in Farnham, NY and worked together for many years. She also had several jobs when she was younger working at Curtis Wright during WWII as a secretary and Riviter, Chevrolet Plant, the Veterans Administration and the National Maritime Union Office in Buffalo. She enjoyed Ballroom dancing with her husband, and belonged to dance clubs in Angola, Silver Creek and Dunkirk. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to either the Holy Cross Lutheran Church, or the Farnham Volunteer Fire Department.
