Although I only had the privilege of knowing Ruth for all too short a time, her memory will always hold a place in my heart. I looked forward to our times together. She loved to tell me about her family -- she was so proud of all of them. Her stories revealed the heart of a sincere, hard working woman who kept the faith in good times and in bad. She never failed to ask me about what was going on in my life as well. She had a remarkable memory and a keen interest in others. One of my dearest memories will be the big smile she would get on her face and the way she would bob her head in time to the music when I played my harmonica for her. Or the twinkle in her eye the first time I brought her a cup of Tim Horton's coffee. "Now that's a good cup of coffee!" she grinned. I'll miss Ruthy. But I know she longed to go to be with her loved ones who already went on to be with the Lord. She so anticipated that reunion and now she's a part of it. So, see you next time, Ruthy -- whenever the Lord decides that should be. -- Catherine (Community Concern)
