Obituary of Virginia Hauser

Virginia A. Hauser passed away Monday October 8, 2012 in her North Collins home surrounded by her family. Virginia was born on January 12, 1940 in Summerville, Pennsylvania. She was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church where she assisted with the Altar Society. She also helped deliver food to the elderly and sick. She was a kind, compassionate and loving person. Virginia was a wiz at crossword puzzles, loved reading, playing cards and baking. She was an avid nature lover; she especially loved feeding and viewing wild life. She also enjoyed taking walks in the woods. Virginia loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She once wrote that her fondest memory was the birth of her children. Surviving are her husband of 54 years William R. Hauser, her 5 children: William (Michelle) Hauser, Deborah (Gary) Shutt, Joseph Hauser, Richard Hauser, Katherine (Robert) Miller, her 9 grandchildren: William Hauser, Leo Shutt, Erica Hauser, Jason Shutt, Amy Hauser, Bethany Hauser, Danny Hauser, A.J. Miller, Samantha Miller and her 4 great grandchildren: William Hauser, Bryson Shutt, Addisynn Hauser, Aiden Hauser. She is also survived by her siblings Charles Allshouse, Patty Greeley, and Lenny (Diane) Greeley. Virginia was predeceased by a daughter Kathleen Hauser, her father Clarence Allshouse, her mother Cecilia Greeley and her brother Robert Allshouse. Friends may call Monday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the ADDISON FUNERAL HOME, INC. 262 N. Main St. Angola, where prayers will be said Tuesday at 8:45 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30AM in Holy Spirit Catholic Church, N. Collins, NY.
