Obituary of Richard Jones

Richard "Dick" Jones, 66, of Pownal Vermont, formerly of Angola, NY, passed away November 29, 2013 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, Vermont. Dick is the beloved husband of Donna Jones; loving father of Kristie (John)Giambrone of Brant, NY, Mindy (Jerry) Disorbo of Selkirk, NY, Brandon " Bubba" (Rebecca) Jones of Angola, NY, Jedidiah, Samuel, Eli , Noah , Rachel and Catherine Jones all of Pownal, VT. Brother of Jack Storey of Georgia. Also survived by nine grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call Friday from 3-7PM at the ADDISON FUNERAL HOME, INC. 262 N. Main St. Angola, NY. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00AM in The First Church of Evans, Derby, NY ( Rt. 5 at Sturgeon Point Rd.) Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Richard was born in Silver Creek, New York on December 20, 1946 the son of Albert and Emily (Lunsford) Jones. He graduated from Lake Shore Central High School, and attended Long Beach State University in California. Richard worked in construction for most of his working career. Earlier in his years he worked for General Mills in Buffalo, New York ,then the Woodford School Lunch Program, Morrison's Automobile Dealership and the Manchester Journal, of Vermont. . He enjoyed skiing, hockey, golf, cooking and cherished times spent with his family.
