Cecil Weglewski (nee Cash) originally of Angola, NY and then Fredonia Place, passed away Monday, November 17, 2014. She was 96. Cecil was born December 5, 1917 to Ward and Mildred Cash in the Cash family home in Oak Grove Community. Cecil¹s loving husband of 61 years, Anthony Weglewski passed away on December 31,2005. Her children and spouses survive her: William and Susan Weglewski of Stratford, CT, Patricia Wagner of Rochester, NY, Linda and Angelo Sorrento of South Riding, VA. She leaves four grandchildren: Anthony, Rebecca and Steven Wagner, and Vincent Sorrento, brother Robert (wife Patty) Cash and many loved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers George (wife Marion) and Arthur (wife Elsie) Cash, and sister Helen (husband William) Staubitz. Cecil graduated from Angola High School and Miss Farmer¹s School of Cookery in Boston, Massachusetts. Throughout her life, she was active in community service including Lake Erie Beach Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary as a Charter Member, First Congregational United Church of Christ, American Heart Association and while her children were young, Girl Scouts and 4-H. Through her community service, she instilled compassion and taught her family the value of helping others. She was a talented artist and gardener. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 28 at 11:00 AM at ADDISON FUNERAL HOME, INC. 262 N. Main St. Angola, NY. Interment will be in Forest Avenue Cemetery, Angola, NY 14006. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 132 North Main Street, Angola, NY 14006 or to a charity of your choice.
