Your birthday came and I remembered. I remember that you were not terribly excited about it. You were always a good sport and let us celebrate with the usual cake and ice cream,etc. Humble, not wanting to be the center of attention...but the good sport you were. So today I watched one of our favorite TV programs of those precious days together. The first time I ever saw you tearful was so tender for me...an episode of that show. You did get choked up...and when I asked you...you couldn't talk because of the emotion. People did not see that side of you who weren't close to you. There was that gentle soul...you were so caring. Mr. Wonderful...remember that shirt that I still have tucked away...with many memories of our life together. Like a dream...I miss you my love. I know I will see you again...you will be there waiting for me. Take me fishing please.
