Donald Volker of Angola, New York, died Monday October 1, 2007 in Hospice Buffalo, Inc. at the age of 88.� Don was the loving husband of the late Betty May Heimburg.� Dear father of Leigh ( Diane) and David C. ( Nancy) Volker.� Loving grandfather of� Andrew (Carol)�Volker and Rebecca ( Chris) Meyn.� Great grandfather of Aniela Volker and Kenny LePere.� Friends invited to Attend funeral services Friday October 5, 2007 �at 11:00 AM, in The First Congregational United Church of Christ.� Burial with Military Honors will follow in Forest Avenue Cemetery, Angola. �The Family will be present�to recieve friends on �Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Addison Funeral Home, Inc. 262 N. Main St. Angola, NY.� Mr. Volker was a graduate of SUNY Alfred� earning a degree in Electrical Engineering.� He was a fighter pilot in WWII serving in the 57th Fighter Group " Black Scorpions"� flying in N. Africa and Italy.� He recieved the Purple Heart Medal and was mentioned in an Article in Liberty magazine for his endeavors during the war.�� He was �retired from New York Telephone where he worked for 35 years.� In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice Buffalo, Inc. �
