Stanley J. Maronski, died Friday Sept. 5, 2008 in his Angola home, following a lengthy illness, he was 89.��� Dearest companion of Eleanor Mackenzie for over 25 years.� Stanley was a decorated veteran of WWII serving in the 8th U.S. Army Air Force under Jimmie Stewart.� He was shot down over Germany� on November 26, 1944 and was held as a Prisoner of War for over 6 months.�� Stanley worked as a Patrolman with the Town of Evans Police Dept. for 27 years and was also the Chief of Police for the Village of Angola for several years, before retiring in 1978.� He was a life member of the Evans Township VFW �Post #5798 , life member of the Silver Creek Post D.A.V. , founding member of the Lake Shore Goodfellows Club, and a former member of the Judges and Police Conference.� He was also an avid Hunter and Outdoorsman.� No prior visitation, a Memorial Service will be held at a� time and place to be announced.� In liue of flowers memorials may be made to the S.P.C.A. of Angola, in Stan&amp;#39;s memory. � <h3>Visitation</h3> Visitation Times
