Obituary of Pastor Barge

Pastor Jean W. Barge (nee Wright) of Silver Creek, NY died Friday February 26, 2010 in Lake Shore Hospital, she was 82. Born on November 23, 1927, in Milwaukee WI., daughter of the late Charles B. Wright and Genevieve Schul. Jean graduated Valedictorian of her high school class and went on to get her M.S. from the University of Rochester, where she met her husband, David A. Barge, PH in Nuclear Physics. She went on to teach Biology for many years in Oneonta, NY, where she went on to get her realtors license. She recieved her calling to go into the ministry in 1978. She attended the Lutheran Church, LCA and recieved her Masters Div. from Mt. Airy in Philidelphia. Pastor Jean then presided over the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Farnham, for many years. She is the loving mother of Karl E. Barge, Lynn Ellen(Dale) Barge-Price and the late Marc D. Barge. Sister of Charles B. Wright. Grandmother of Megan Elizabeth Barge; step grandmother of Matthew and Marc Militello. Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Addison Funeral Home, Inc. 262 N. Main St. Angola, NY. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11AM in the Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Farnham, NY. Jean was the former Pastor of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Flowers greatfully declined memorials may be made to the Church. Interment will be in the church cemtery.
