Ellen - Talked to Laura this week and she told me of your great loss. Please accept my heartfelt sympathies. There are no words that I can express to take away the hurt you are feeling, but you are in my heart and prayers along with his family, and I know that Skip is walking with God.

Skip was a great patroller and a wonderful friend. I enjoyed our conversations in the lower patrol room that some times went on for a time depending on the weather conditions and interruptions. You will be missed by all and I thank you for the opportunity to get to know you.

To the Pfister family and Ellen
There are few people who you come across in life who have the power to impact your own essence. Skip in his loving, open way was one of those people.
We met during ski patrol like so many many others, and skip offered un-tethered friendship and respect to the newest member of the team.
From there he became a friend. I respected him for his courage, positive attitude, loyalty, honor and fortitude.
He was a very good man ...and I am sure he is in Heaven now with a big halo glowing!!
Ellen I was in ski patrol when he met you and it seemed to lighten him and made him smile. I think you provided light and love in his life. I am sorry for your loss of him but the love will endure.
And to his children.. you only get one dad.. I am sorry you lost him so young. He is now an angel who is watching and guiding you. All you have to do is ask for his help, and you will feel him again!

To Skip and his family and Friends,
I got to know Skip through Ski Patrol, He was a great mentor, cheerleader, behind the scene instructor, for all that he worked with during the Senior training program over the years. We all owe him a GREAT TOKEN of our appreciation for all he did. It was an honor to learn from him. My condolences to his family and Ellen.

RIP Skip.. You have taught me so much in my beginning years of Ski Patrol at Cockaigne. You were always thinking... Of how to improve what we do. You have been there and done that! Making it easier for us newbies! I will miss you ! Always soaking up the sun when the snow fades after a long tireing winter, I find myself doing the same since then and think of you. I have a pix of you, Sandy Johnson, Tammy Peterson and I sitting on the balcony at Cockaigne soaking up the sun.. I will always cherish this.. God Bless my friend..

my sympathy and love to Ellen and all of Skip's family and friends who had re privilege to know such a kind strong man and wonderful friend. He will be greatly missed until we can see him again. John 5:28,29 promises us that all those in the memorial tombs will hear his (Jesus) voice and come out... So please find encouragement with this thought in mind during this sad time.
Skip was such a great mentor with NSP and I will always remember him fondly.
