Carolann,
I am very sorry for your loss. Fred was a very warm and loving person, so much so that he was not infrequently taken advantage of in the early years after high school. He would never say no to anyone and gave more than he ever received. He was very good in mathematics and helped me constantly and he was an excellent athlete, fearless on the football field as well as a top wrestler. He was a captain on both teams.
We were very close during high school and spent time together practically every day. Unfortunately there were times when I did not treat him as well as he treated me; I did not have enough patience with him, but we were both still immature teenagers and I certainly had and still have my own shortcomings. Everyone in his family was very kind to me. Fred endured some tough times after high school, I went into the Navy for four years and we went apart.
As you are aware, I did not see him after the 50 year class reunion in 2010. I tried calling and emailing several times afterward but he never responded, I don't know the circumstances. I was always very fond of Freddie and always will be. I never really forgot about him and that will not change. Again, I am very sorry for your loss.
Regards,
August Bonanducci

Although Freddy and I seldom saw each other after we grew up, I often thought of all of our childhood memories. We grew up fishing every summer with Aunt Doris and Grandpa. Sodus Bay, Keuka Lake, the summers were terrific and Freddy and I enjoyed every minute. The girls we met at the skating rink in Keuka Lake, the fresh caught fish, the penny anti poker with Aunt Meg, the movies and milk shakes that Aunt Doris would take us to. Meeting Grandpa after work at the Sunset Inn and drinking soda at the bar.
Freddy was a brother to me and I will always treasure his memory, for I loved him.
May God welcome you home, you have lots of family waiting for you....
Dan
