Oscar Newton Patterson
Of Angola, NY left this life peacefully at home with family present on December 3, 2015. He married Alberta "Birdie" Winters and settled into a lakefront home in Angola, NY where he resided until his passing. "Newt" worked more than 40 years as an Operating Engineer and was a proud member of the IUOE Local 17, and a long standing member of the Masonic Star Lodge 1185. Newt is survived by his daughter, Ms. Fannie-Lynn Patterson & beloved significant other Scott Miller; two granddaughters , Mrs. Lauren Pettis (Brian), and Ms. Marielle Zanolli; sisters Karen Bromley (Norman), and Marnie Fitzmorris (Tom), in-laws Richard & Carol Ingersoll, Richard & JoAnne Leugemors as well as many beloved nephews & nieces. A memorial mass will be held at St Mary's on the Lake, Hamburg, NY at 1:00 pm Saturday December 12, 2015 with Irish farewell immediately following for family and friends.
