Obituary of Jacquelyn Baldwin

Jacquelyn M. Baldwin, Buffalo Schools Educator, Administrator April 15, 1951 ��" January 7, 2012 Jacquelyn M. Baldwin (Jackie), a recently retired Buffalo school administrator, died January 7 under Hospice care after an ongoing battle with cancer. She was 60 years old. The former Jacquelyn Webb was born in Kenmore, New York. She was a graduate of the former Kenmore High School and held both a Bachelor's and Master's degree from Buffalo State College with advanced studies at Canisius College. Jackie began her teaching career in mathematics at School #44 in 1973. She then taught briefly at Riverside High School. In 1974 Jackie began her 25 years of service at South Park High School. Her administrative career began in 2001 as Assistant Principal at City Honors School. She served as Principal of Lafayette High School from 2004 ��" 2008. In August of 2008, Jackie assumed the role of Principle ��" on Assignment at Central Office in City Hall. In July of 2010 she retired after 37 years of service. Jackie later worked as a Training and Administrative Support Specialist with the Buffalo City Schools with Niagara IT Solutions, Inc.. She was also highly active in the Buffalo Teachers Federation in many capacities, as well as the Buffalo Council of Supervisors and Administrators. Jackie was also a skier, former ski instructor, gardener and avid quilter. Jackie is survived by her husband, Roger Baldwin and step-children, David (Janice) and Andrea (William). She had 5 grandchildren, Dakota, Kelsey, Patrick, Sierra and Cameron. She is also survived by sister Judy Ogle (Wally), a brother, Steve Webb (Carol) and sister, Sandy Tudor (Larry) along with several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Monday from 7-9PM and Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8PM at Addison Funeral Home Inc., 262 North Main Street, Angola (549-1100). A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 1PM in the First Church of Evans,(Rts. 5 and Sturgeon Point Road).
