R. Shirley Lojacono, of Brant, NY, passed away Sunday January 15, 2012 in Buffalo Mercy Hospital, she was 80. Beloved wife of 52 years to Samuel A. Lojacono. Daughter of the late Sherman(Ruth) Strouse.
Shirley graduated from Kenmore West High School, then attended Buffalo General School of Nursing, where she graduated as an RN. She then went on to teach nursing at both, Buffalo General Hospital and Kenmore West High, where she retired from.
She enjoyed collecting and distributuing food for families in need. She loved living her life near the lake, where she spent many 4th of July's entertaining family and friends, and spent time caring for her Godchildren, nieces and Nephews. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching and her dogs. Shirley was also an avid Bridge Player.
Funeral services will be held at the conveinence of the family. Those wishing to send memorials may do so, to the Erie County S.P.C.A.
