So sorry to hear of the passing of Vance. I'm sorry but I'm out of town and will not be able to attend, but my thoughts and those of Joanne are with all of you. What can I say except what a great man Vance was. When I think of all the good times we shared over the years, it brings a smile to my face. If it wasn't for Vance I never would have met my wife. I hope you know how much Vance was liked by everyone. I know he will be greatly missed by all who crossed his path over the years. May God bless him and all of you.

Vance - my memories of you get me smiling. Listening to you and Barty recounting stories, well there where no dull moments with you two. I learned that motorcycles are to be parked outside of buildings, not driven into them. To Johann, Jodi and Lisa, and extended family, your loss is ours too. We are here for you, and our thoughts are with you.

Joann, Li, Jodi, Laura, Cody, Brandon and Penny - I'm so sorry for your loss...and so the steel drum bands will be heard from above. I was just 3 years old when my Dad (Ed "Barty") bought his first boat from Vance and the rest is history. If it wasn't for those two guys having the best time of their lives and allowing their families to grow together, I wouldn't be the person I am today (41 years later). Thanks, Vance, for everything you've done for me and my family and for being a best friend to my Dad. You'll be truly missed-especially that laugh; always honored-you were always a good man to me; and never forgotten-I promise.

Beloved family of Vance. Our hearts and prayers to all of you. Tony & I kissed Vance goodbye on May 5th. He will always be in our hearts because he made so many good time memories growing together. Vance and Barty were always having a happy time. Our families are still in touch after many years. Joann & I learned we can't party and eat brussel sprouts. Wonderful boating and trips to Florida together.

Joanne....so sorry about Vance. You were married a long time and I know you have wonderful memories. Be assured that the Lord is with you and your family and will see you through...not over, not around...but through. Keep your faith strong, as it will help you....I know as my husband died 2 years ago. Call me if you want to talk or just sit and hold hands. My number is in the phone book. Hang in there....Nadine (class of '64) (sorry I couldn't attend the funeral...Was in Tenn.)
