Markiewicz, Raymond N. "Ray Marks"
of Angola, NY passed away Wednesday February 4, 2015 in Roswell Park Cancer Institute, he was 70. Beloved husband of Barbara Markiewicz; loving father of David (Melissa) and Cheryl Markiewicz. Brother of Gerald (Mary) Markiewicz and Delores Gilchriese. Grandfather of Alicia (Dustin) Taylor, Kendall and David Markiewicz. Also survived by his dear friends Jim (Doreen) Bailey. Friends may call Saturday from 1-3PM and 6-7PM at the ADDISON FUNERAL HOME, INC. 262 N. Main St. Angola where services will follow visitation at 7PM.
Ray was Adjunct Professor in Communications at St. Bonaventure University and Medaille College. He was the Founder of Niagara Frontier Chapter of Adirondack Mountain Club. Founder of Northeast programs for Project Healing Waters (a program of teaching fly fishing as therapy to Veterans returning from war). He also founded Lake Erie Chapter Federation of Fly Fishers. He spent 39 years in Broadcasting and retired as News Director, from WGR, where he spent 27 years as the morning News anchor. Share your condolences at addisonfuneralhome.com
